Hello! I currently have my A.A. (Language Arts and Communication) from Mt. SAC, my B.A. (English Literature and Language) from Cal Poly Pomona, and my M.A. (Rhetoric/Composition and TESOL) from Cal Poly Pomona. I have high academic standards which have landed me on Dean and President lists every semester/quarter, and I have maintained a 4.0 through my M.A.
Experience
For three years I worked as a writing tutor and then a Graduation Writing Test Consultant at Cal Poly. For the past two years I have taught composition/writing courses at the university level, and I have a strong grounding in expository writing, English as a second language, and rhetorical strategies for reading, writing, and speaking. I also currently tutor students in middle and high school. Because of my years of involvement in tutoring and teaching college students, I have an insider knowledge of what kinds of reading and writing skills colleges are looking for. I can help students wherever they're at as well as help prepare them for college-level writing and reading demands.

I love reading, writing, and discussing. I've grown up with many pets and was active in my local 4-H club. For a while I fenced and played soccer, and I have a passion for art. I love meeting new people and incorporating their interests into tutoring--finding what they enjoy and helping them use that to complement their learning.
